Not all doulas practice the same. Our team shares the following values and are committed to offering services aligned with these standards.

Dedicated

Dedicated to continuous learning to provide the most up-to-date, evidence-based care and education to the families we work with. We believe in the power of providing a balanced holistic and evidence based approach to educating our clients in all their options.

Inclusive

Inclusive and welcoming to all birthing people and their wishes and preferences. We believe there is not one “right” way to birth a baby and navigate postpartum. Our role is to educate and empower our clients to make the best decisions for their family. We also recognize that not all families look the same. Not every birthing person identifies as a woman. Not every parent refers to themself as mom or dad. We are COMMITTED to including our LGBTQ+ friends because exclusive hetero-normative language is harmful.

Committed to teaching our clients what advocacy looks like in the birth and postpartum period. We help our clients understand their legal birthing rights, how to ask empowering questions to providers, and what true informed consent looks like in a medical setting. Our clients are left feeling empowered and equipped for birth and parenthood.

Our Services/Offerings

While some doulas only provide you either birthing or postpartum services, we want to provide you the best support possible through your entire experience. Our network therefore has specialists in both aspects, so you can find the right person for your needs.

Birth Doula Services

Provides emotional, physical, and educational support to you throughout your pregnancy and birth. Knowledgeable of the benefits and risks of common birth medical interventions and how to create an advocacy plan for your birth experience.
Continuous in-person labor support throughout your birth
2 Prenatal visits, 90 minutes each
1 Postpartum Visit, 90 minutes
Support writing and sharing your birth preferences with your providers.
Teach you and your partner comfort measures and labor positions for birth.
Unlimited text, phone, and email for any and all questions!

Postpartum Doula Services

Knowledgeable about all aspects of postpartum, including infant care and development, lactation, bottle feeding, postpartum and cesarean recovery, postpartum blues and depression self-screenings, infant soothing and bonding, and meal preparation.
Daytime Shifts (minimum 4 hours)
Nighttime shifts (8-12 hours)
Lactation Counseling (private session)
Infant Sleep Counseling (private session)
Can also provide light housekeeping (not primary role), sibling care, pet care, and more (just ask!).

Placenta Encapsulation

During pregnancy, the placenta produces many useful hormones, and when a mother births her placenta, she loses those hormones. It can often take months for the body to balance these hormones again. Taking placenta pills helps reintroduce these hormones into the mother's body in small doses until her body resumes its natural hormonal balance. Services includes:
100-200 nutrient-rich encapsulated placenta pills
Placenta tincture to be used long after the capsules are gone to be used during menopause or other times of transition or emotional distress.
Umbilical cord keepsake to honor the key role it played in pregnancy.
Our placenta encapsulation specialist is certified with International Placenta and Postpartum Association and follows all OSHA & EPA guidelines for blood-born pathogen transmission, standards for sanitation, and infection prevention.

Preparing for Postpartum | Private In-Home Session

In this two hour, private session, a postpartum doula will guide you through what to expect and how to prepare for your postpartum. Each session is customized based on your needs and can include:
Recovery from childbirth
Breastfeeding education
Postpartum relationship plan
Setting up your home for postpartum
Newborn sleep safety guidelines
Postpartum mental health plan
Introduction to Montessori for babies
Add on (+$30) Personalized essential oils for your postpartum
This session is best completed during your third trimester of pregnancy.
